Learner submissions

YOUR CHARTER

Full charter: required

Flexible charter: optional

Fast charter: not used

Submissions are an opportunity for learners to share their work. A submission can be any of the following:

  • A WebGL build like any of these examples:
    • A very simple scene, as in Essentials of real-time 3D.
    • An improvement on the practical activity, as in Creative Core: Shaders and materials.
    • An improvement on a new project, as in Creative Core: Select your guided project.
  • Screen captures or video of their own project, either completed or in progress.
  • Documents, such as an example learning plan or research task.

What is the value of submissions?

Submissions are valuable because they allow learners to exercise the greatest possible creative freedom with their new skills. Learners are engaged because they are working on their own projects. Submissions also provide opportunities for reflection, community engagement, and feedback.

Is a submission right for your learning experience?

In your learning experience, what sort of Unity project could learners create or improve to demonstrate their new skills in their own way or even push their learning a little further? A submission is an ideal way to incentivize learners to apply their new skills on a real Unity project and fill in any gaps in their knowledge on their own. Note: We don't generally encourage learners to submit a build of a Unity project that is entirely their own creative work, because we suspect they would be wary of plagiarism.
